Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a senior safety leader to administer LaneA's safety program on large civil infrastructure projects in Virginia. You will lead accident prevention efforts, conduct site audits, and develop safety initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and client needs.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, 6 years of safety leadership experience, 3 years in heavy civil infrastructure, and CHST/ASP/CSP certifications preferred.

• 6 years of safety leadership experience.
• 3 years of experience in heavy civil infrastructure.
• CHST, ASP, CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and enforces LaneA's safety program, leading accident prevention efforts.
• Conducts work area assessments and jobsite audits focusing on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and corrective actions.
• Develops, organizes, and implements safety initiatives and programs that align with LaneA's standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors, coaches, and evaluates safety employees, providing feedback and performance assessments.
• Leads safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project-specific meetings to ensure effective communication across crews and subcontractors.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and investigations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and client requirements.
• Supports incident investigations and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
