Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a safety leader to drive the corporate safety program across major civil infrastructure projects in the United States. You will lead hazard assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate trainings for field teams and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6 years of safety leadership in heavy civil projects, and CHST/ASP/CSP preferred. Lane offers strong benefits and growth opportunities with a respected industry standing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CHST/ASP/CSP preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of safety leadership experience in heavy civil infrastructure.
• Experience enforcing safety programs and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administers and enforces Lane's safety program to achieve safety goals.
• Conducts work area assessments and jobsite audits for hazard recognition and corrective actions.
• Develops and implements safety initiatives aligned with standards and regulations.
• Mentors and evaluates safety employees with feedback and performance reviews.
• Develops and delivers training programs.
• Leads safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project meetings for communication across crews.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and investigations for compliance.
• Supports incident investigations and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

• Administers and enforces LaneÂs safety program, leading accident prevention efforts to achieve company and project safety goals.
• Conducts work area assessments and jobsite audits, focusing on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and corrective actions.
• Develops, organizes, and implements safety initiatives and programs that align with LaneÂs standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors, coaches, and evaluates safety employees, providing feedback and performance assessments.
• Develops and delivers training programs.
• Leads safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project-specific meetings to ensure effective communication across crews and subcontractors.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and investigations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and client requirements.
• Supports incident investigations and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Certifications
