Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced safety leader to direct the project accident prevention program across heavy civil construction sites. You will enforce safety policies, develop corrective actions, and mentor field safety teams to ensure regulatory compliance and safe work practices.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in safety or related field, 10+ years in safety leadership, and CIH/CSP certifications preferred.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Leads, directs, and manages the project accident prevention program, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations and local safety requirements.
• Enforces LaneA's safety program, policies, and procedures; implements immediate corrective actions where required.
• Mentors, coaches, and evaluates safety employees, providing feedback and performance assessments.
• Develops and delivers training programs.
• Facilitates orientations, toolbox talks, and regular safety meetings with field crews, subcontractors, and professional staff.
• Participates in regulatory inspections.
• Investigates near misses, injuries, and incidents; and leads root cause analysis to ensure corrective measures prevent recurrence.
• Monitors incident trends and proactively implements measures to reduce risks and improve safety performance.
• Communicates with the corporate claims department to ensure accurate documentation of asset losses and workersA' compensation claims.
• Collaborates with project leadership to integrate safety into planning, scheduling, and execution of work activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications
