ITC Holdings Corp is seeking an experienced safety professional to promote and sustain a comprehensive safety program across sites and contractors. The role focuses on designing, administering, and monitoring safety practices to prevent incidents, ensure compliance, and foster a safe work environment for employees and the general public.

The position requires strong communication skills, ability to travel, and a proven track record in safety leadership within the electric utility sector.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant safety/construction management experience or equivalent.
• Professional safety certifications (CIH, CSP, OHST, CSPS, PUS) are preferred.
• Experience in electric utility industry is preferred.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and drive results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness/ability to travel and respond to emergencies as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Promote a safe working environment by creating and maintaining an effective safety program.
• Monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with company practices and industry standards.
• Assess contractors for compliance with federal, state and local safety standards.
• Communicate safety rules and expectations to employees and contractors on company property.
• Design and implement health and safety programs to safeguard employees and the public.
• Lead meetings with contractors and employees to review observations and trends.
• Provide safety performance metrics and conduct root-cause analyses of incidents.
• Maintain relationships with external safety agencies and represent the program externally.
