Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking a Safety Specialist II to oversee safety at electric construction sites across the project area. You will mentor other safety staff, ensure adherence to safety policies, and coordinate with Operations to implement site-specific plans.

Role requires travel to worksites and collaboration with field staff, clients, and subcontractors to maintain a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one safety certification is preferred (e.g., CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, CSP).
• Undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accident/injury investigations including root cause analyses.
• Provide support to Operations for incident case management and documentation steps.
• Follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed for all incidents.
• Perform site visits to observe safety behaviors and conditions.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and participate in safety meetings.
