Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee safety on electric construction projects across multiple sites in the Texas area. You will collaborate with field staff, clients, and subs to ensure adherence to safety policies and regulations.

Travel to various worksites is required. Candidates should have 2+ years in EHS, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication and organizational skills to drive safety improvements and training activities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least one safety certification preferred (CSHO/CHST/SMS/SSH/CSP).
• Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to observe safety behaviors and conditions.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and participate in safety meetings.
• Support client safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate accidents and conduct root cause analyses.
• Provide training support and assist in incident documentation and corrective actions.
• Mentor site personnel on safety practices.
