Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support electric construction projects on multiple sites across the assigned area. The role emphasizes safety policy adherence, program implementation, and collaboration with field staff, clients, and subcontractors.

You will conduct site visits, lead safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations while mentoring site personnel and coordinating required trainings. Travel is required with a focus on proactive safety management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles is required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one safety certification is preferred (CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, CSP).
• Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or related field preferred; education or experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing site visits to observe safety behaviors and conditions across electric construction projects.
• Coordinate site safety plans with Operations and participate in safety meetings.
• Participate in project kick-offs and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and client requirements.
• Coach site personnel on safety practices and conduct hazard assessments.
• Conduct investigations and assist with incident documentation and corrective actions.
