Job summary

The Boldt Company – Western Operations is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to lead safety initiatives across complex construction projects. You will work with project leadership, craft professionals, and trade partners to proactively identify risks and implement practical solutions that keep everyone safe.

You will mentor teams, support high risk work planning, and push continuous safety improvements through metrics and field management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety required.
  • At least two years’ experience in construction and/or industrial safety.
  • First aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • CHST certification preferred.

As a Senior Safety Specialist, you will be a key leader in creating and maintaining an extraordinary safety culture across complex and meaningful construction projects. You will work alongside project leadership, craft professionals, and trade partners to proactively identify risks, develop practical solutions, and ensure every team member returns home safety each day.

In this role, you will influence every phase of construction by leading safety initiatives, conducting training, mentoring project teams, supporting high risk work planning, and driving continuous improvement through safety metrics and field management.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000.00-$121,000.00 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction management or other related field required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least two years’ experience in construction and/or industrial safety required.
  • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred.
  • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
Nice to Have
  • Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects such as OSHPD or HCAI.
  • Experience leading Safety Task Analysis and Job Hazard Analysis during preconstruction planning.
  • Experience supporting high risk activity planning and serving as a safety mentor for project teams.
