Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Safety & Security Manager to lead enterprise-wide safety, security, and emergency management programs. You will collaborate with stakeholders across facilities to protect employees, visitors, and assets while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, incident response, and program modernization in a large healthcare environment. A strong background in OSHA/DOSH/WISHA/HIPAA and vendor management is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of experience in security operations, investigations, physical security, or security program management, including 3 years with physical security technologies and external vendors.
• Three years of people leadership experience and three years developing and delivering safety training programs.
• A current, valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA certifications within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Premera's safety, physical security, workplace violence prevention, and emergency management programs across all locations.
• Develop and maintain safety and security policies, standards, procedures, and practices aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate organizational risks through assessments, inspections, incident reviews, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
