Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Supervisor, Safety and Security to oversee day-to-day operations of the safety and security team within a hospital. You will manage security personnel, enforce policies, and contribute to emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance.

The role requires leadership, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proactive incident reporting to ensure staff, patients, and visitors are safe on site.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher preferred
• 1-2 years of related leadership experience preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates organization-wide collection of EC deficiency data and improvement opportunities.
• Prepares summaries detailing deficiencies, problems, failures, and PI actions related to Environment of Care.
• Participates in hazard surveillance and incident reporting.
• Submits reports to the EC Committee bi-monthly with findings and actions.
• Reviews EC policies to align with hospital safety management plans.
• Ensures EC plans are evaluated at least annually with leadership.
• Assists in defining performance indicators for Safety Management reporting to EC Committee.
• Acts as hospital liaison for emergency preparedness, drills, hazmat and severe weather events.
