Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking a Safety professional to lead development and implementation of occupational safety, health, and process safety management practices. The role coordinates training, field verification, and supports capital projects related to fire, vapor detection, and mitigation systems.

You will interface with operations, maintenance, and contractor personnel on complex safety topics. Key duties include assisting the Manager Safety & Process Safety in policy implementation,

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years safety experience; 8+ years considered in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of safe work permitting and job safety analyses.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulatory standards.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, revising and implementing Safety and Health policies, procedures, and systems.
• Collect, analyze, review and maintain safety records for facility operations.
• Coordinate health initiatives including IH monitoring and audiograms.
• Develop and train employees and contractors in safety training materials.
• Support emergency response activities for medical, rescue and hazmat teams.
• Conduct internal audits and field verifications for Health, Safety and Process Safety programs.
• Interface with Contractor Safety Program and ISNetWorld compliance.
• Drive incident reporting and investigations for health and safety incidents.
• Assist with Facility Security Plan implementations and Radiation Safety Program support.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets and ensure regulatory compliance.
