Job summary

Solid Power seeks a Senior Safety Specialist to lead and advance EHS programs across our battery manufacturing operations. You will partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to strengthen safety performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support Process Safety Management implementation.

The role focuses on chemical inventory management, emergency preparedness, training coordination, hazard analyses, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience in high-hazard industrial settings.
• PSM experience and familiarity with 29 CFR 1910.119 required.
• Strong incident investigation, audits, and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce OSHA/EPA/NFPA and other regs across sites.
• Maintain chemical inventory, SDS systems, and labeling per GHS.
• Conduct safety audits, JSAs, and hazard assessments; lead investigations.
• Develop and improve EHS policies and emergency plans.
• Collaborate with operations to embed safe work practices.
• Monitor leading/lagging indicators and report trends for improvement.
