Job summary

CVR Energy is seeking a Safety professional to lead occupational safety, health and process safety management. You will coordinate training, field verifications and contribute to capital and expense projects related to safety systems.

The role includes developing policies, monitoring regulatory compliance, and interfacing with operations, maintenance and contractors to resolve complex safety issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety required; related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Professional Health and/or Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, revising and implementing Safety policies and systems.
• Maintain and report safety records (LOTO, Confined Space Permits, etc.).
• Coordinate IH monitoring, audiograms, and respiratory fit testing.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training for hires, contractors and site personnel.
• Lead in safety improvement initiatives and active participation in safety groups.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets and OSHA Forms 300/300A/301.
• Identify health and safety issues and drive problem-solving actions.
• Support emergency response team activities and contractor safety program audits.
• Conduct internal audits and field verifications for safety programs.
