Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for the Southeast Division to lead safety initiatives across projects in the Southeast. The role emphasizes cultivating relationships with staff and subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and delivering training and reports to maintain top-tier safety performance.

We value extensive construction safety experience, strong communication, and the ability to drive safety programs with influential leadership.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years safety experience in the construction industry preferred.
• CSP or ASP certification through BCSP preferred but not required.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Safety certification from an accredited organization (BCSP or equal).
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
• Proficient in relevant software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; capable of crucial conversations.
• Manages time and resource allocation to provide safety leadership on projects.

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Ensures compliance with the company safety manual, policies and expectations; conducts safety reviews as needed.
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Provides, participates, and leads staff in safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
• Represents company with owner and subcontractors in a positive, professional manner.
• Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
• Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.).
• Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in the assigned region.
