Job summary

On Target Utility Services seeks a Safety Manager to lead safety programs across utility construction sites in the Northeast. You will develop safety policies, conduct training, and investigate incidents to ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in corporate safety, strong leadership, and the ability to drive a safety culture. CDL and professional certifications are preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ experience in corporate safety environment and/or leadership position.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training.
• CUSP, CSP, or CIH certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; self-motivated.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Card.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of safety and maintenance standards/colicies/guidelines.
• Collaborate with Safety & Workforce Development Manager to monitor changes.
• Provide risk assessments and support safety training programs.
• Assist with field safety audits, incident investigations, and inspections.
• Coordinate safety reporting and documentation.
• Deliver safety trainings and mentor employees on safety initiatives.
• Travel extensively and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
