Job summary

Ameren Illinois seeks a Safety Supervisor to lead safety programs across operations in the field and office. You will coach teams on safe work practices, conduct field observations, and drive compliance with OSHA, DOT, PHMSA and EPA requirements.

For the Senior Safety Supervisor, you will lead complex investigations, develop safety standards, mentor others, and present metrics to leadership, with a focus on reducing risk across multiple units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Five+ years of safety or utility experience for Senior role; three+ for Supervisor.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to improve safety performance across assigned areas.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate safety meetings and safety committee activities.
• Interpret safety requirements and advise on compliance strategies.
• Conduct field safety observations, identify risks, and give recommendations.
• Coach employees and leadership on safe work practices and injury prevention.
• Support incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
