Job summary

Wilson Construction Co. is seeking a Safety Inspector to ensure site compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Wilson’s safety program. The role reports to the Director of Safety and requires conducting audits, safety training, and immediate corrective actions.

The candidate will monitor safety performance, lead safety orientations, and ensure equipment and safety compliance across projects, including high voltage electrical transmission work.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience supporting or leading safety programs.
• Three years’ experience in high voltage electrical transmission and distribution.
• CUSP certification with a background in electric transmission and distribution.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• CDL license with Medical Card (valid).

Responsibilities

• Attend tailboard meetings and cover daily safety topics.
• Perform safety audits using the iAuditor app and assess site hazards.
• Implement corrective action for noncompliance with safety programs and regulations.
• Coordinate safety training and orientations for new and returning employees.
• Review audits with foremen and discuss accidents and safety trends.
