Job summary

Wilson Construction Co. seeks a Safety Inspector to ensure site compliance with federal, state and local safety laws and company programs. You will lead safety audits, training, and incident investigations on active job sites, coordinating with site management.

Required are five years in safety programs, CUSP certification, CDL & Medical Card, and OSHA knowledge. This role involves outdoor work and travel, with a strong focus on preventing incidents and safeguarding workers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ experience supporting or leading safety programs.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in high voltage transmission and distribution safety.
• CDL and Medical Card required; First Aid & CPR certification preferred.
• Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) with utility background.
• Working knowledge of state and federal OSHA laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Attend tailboard meetings and cover daily safety topics.
• Perform safety audits per crew using the iAuditor app.
• Implement corrective action for noncompliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate safety training and new-hire drug testing.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; file reports as required.
