Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Principal Safety & Health Specialist based in Aiken, SC to monitor, analyze, and investigate workplace hazards. The role involves reviewing work packages, performing walk downs, inspections, and observations, and guiding safety programs to protect workers, property, environment, and the public.

Key duties include implementing S&H programs, representing safety at meetings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or related science with related experience.
• High School Diploma/GED or Associate’s degree and related experience; on-call flexibility.
• Preferred: CSP and CIH certifications.

Mansioni

• Incorporates advanced S&H practices into programmatic planning and problem solving.
• Evaluates proposals and makes recommendations on high risk, critical work packages.
• Collaborates with design teams to identify safety specifications and requirements.
• Educates personnel to ensure compliance with work documents and standards.
• Investigates accidents and hazards; supports legal claims with investigations documentation.
