Job summary

CordenPharma Colorado is seeking a Sr. Safety Engineer to reinforce the SHE team, implementing continuous improvements and management systems to ensure safe, compliant manufacturing.

You will administer policies, lead safety program initiatives, and support emergency response and incident investigations in a cGMP environment. The role requires a bachelor’s in industrial hygiene or safety, 7+ years of related experience, and strong root cause analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Safety (or related discipline).
• Seven years’ experience as a health and safety professional, including safety/industrial hygiene responsibilities.
• Root Cause Analysis training/experience required; TapRoot experience a plus.
• Experience in chemical/pharma process support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day support to Manufacturing regarding Safety topics.
• Conducts plant/area surveys to verify safe limits and implements controls.
• Develops and improves company-wide Safety programs (confined space, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, etc.).
• Conducts training on Safety topics for employees.
• Responsible for site emergency response activities and coordinating Brigade activities.
