Job summary

Corden Pharma Colorado is seeking a Sr. Safety Engineer to support the SHE team with regulatory knowledge and safety standards compliance.

You will develop and implement continuous improvements to safety programs, manage incident investigations, and coordinate emergency response activities. The role involves extensive collaboration with Manufacturing, thorough safety training, and maintaining rigorous recordkeeping under cGMP and FDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
• Seven years’ experience as a health and safety professional, including Safety and Industrial Hygiene responsibilities.
• Experience in chemical plant process or pharmaceutical support functions strongly preferred.
• Root Cause Analysis training and experience required; TapRooT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to Manufacturing regarding Safety topics, including outside normal hours.
• Conduct plant/area surveys to confirm safe exposure limits and implement effective controls.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and improve company-wide Safety programs and training.
• Coordinate site emergency response activities as well as emergency coordinator for Brigade activities.
• Perform safety inspections, recordkeeping, audits, and incident investigations.
• Review incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
