Job summary

CordenPharma Colorado is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to manage pharmaceutical drug substance, intermediates, and fine chemical development projects in a fully on-site Boulder, CO environment.

You will oversee civil, mechanical, equipment, and facilities design and installation, technology transfer, and product delivery while ensuring cost, schedule, and quality control in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5 years of related experience in pharma or fine chemical industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulatory requirements.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project owner and staff to develop the project business case and objectives; communicate proposals to stakeholders.
• Review engineering designs for compliance with standards and requirements; evaluate feasibility and soundness.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct the engineering effort; manage cost estimates and capital requests; oversee purchasing and contracting.
• Secure resources for project phases, including technical studies, design, construction, and qualification.
• Lead timely dispute resolution with external contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee project qualifications and verify delivery of required performance.
