Job summary

Reframe Systems is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to own EHS for a factory building home modules and the field installations on site. You will translate high-level regulations into practical standards and work hands-on with production, facilities, and engineering leadership to mature an end-to-end EHS program.

You’ll lead hazard assessments, PPE, training, and incident investigations while extending safety practices to field operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of EHS experience with direct accountability for a site's safety and compliance program.
• Experience managing externally regulated compliance programs in mature industries is a plus.
• Ability to operationalize regulations into practical standards for workers.

Responsibilities

• Build a safety culture with clear standards and practical solutions.
• Operationalize regulatory requirements into workplace processes and instructions.
• Own the EHS program, including recordkeeping, written programs, inspections, and filings.
• Maintain hazard assessment and PPE programs across the facility.
• Define environmental compliance, including hazardous materials inventory and waste management.
• Lead safety for high-risk work: heights, lifting, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, robotics.
• Extend the program to field operations at project sites and coordinate with general contractors.
• Own safety training and certification; manage training matrix and ensure competency.
• Formalize stop-work authority and escalation paths to stop unsafe work.
• Manage incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and coordination with local authorities and risk engineers.
• Put EHS data into existing factory tools to drive inspections and improvements.
• Document the program for replication at future facilities.
