Qualifications

• Preferred safety certifications such as GSP, ASP, OHST.
• Expertise in OSHA compliance, especially with powered industrial trucks.

Job description

Job Overview: As Senior Safety Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Site Safety Manager and safety team to lead workplace safety initiatives at our distribution center. You will actively engage in production environments to promote HelloFresh’s safety vision, inspire change, improve safety performance, and foster a safety-first culture.

Shift: Wednesday to Saturday, 5:00pm to 3:30am

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safety and health standards are upheld with integrity
• Providing expertise in environmental management, compliance, occupational safety, risk management, and occupational health through education, training, or experience
• Maintaining OSHA compliance, including training, recordkeeping, and reporting (e.g., OSHA 300 logs)
• Visually inspecting the production floor for safety risks and assisting in accident investigations
• Serving as a safety and security expert for management inquiries
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards on the floor
• Conducting safety audits and implementing corrective actions
• Coordinating ergonomic and safety issues among staff
• Monitoring and enforcing safety rule compliance among employees
• Providing basic first aid as an on-site first responder
• Promoting safety initiatives like Behavior Safety and Near Miss reporting, analyzing data, and developing improvements
• Ensuring contractors and visitors adhere to safety policies
• Supporting emergency response planning and liaising with first responders
• Conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all tasks
• Training and coaching forklift operators to promote safe operations
• Supporting other departments such as quality, food safety, production, and logistics as needed

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a distribution center or a 4-year degree in a safety-related field
• Preferred safety certifications such as GSP, ASP, OHST
• Expertise in OSHA compliance, especially with powered industrial trucks, lockout/tagout, and injury prevention
• Strong communication and presentation skills to influence at all organizational levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
