POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Safety Coordinator - Driver Onboarding supports the Safety/Compliance and Onboarding Departments in pre-screening and hiring CDL drivers. This role reviews and assesses driver applicants' compatibility with FMCSA regulations and Venture's hiring criteria, with sole discretion on approval. The coordinator collaborates with the Compliance Manager and participates in monthly safety meetings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Review and decide on the final Driver Qualification Files (DQF) of potential drivers based on FMCSA regulations.
• Ensure all DQFs comply with FMCSA standards.
• Review DQFs for both on-site and remote applicants.
• Assign monthly training videos to drivers.
• Maintain training records and communicate requirements to Operations.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree or equivalent of 5 years’ experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree and environmental safety experience are highly desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in communications and transportation fields.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and HMR regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Safety Management Training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting and standing for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Primarily office setting, with possible exposure to adverse weather conditions.
