Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a safety professional to conduct multi-site programs ensuring compliance with OSHA and regulations across Colorado. The role involves hazard identification, audits, training development, and advising management on safety improvements.

Occasional travel within the state is required. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's in Safety/Industrial Hygiene and a BCSP certification, with 3+ years of safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline is required
• Certified Safety Professional designation (BCSP) required or preferred
• Three years of work experience in the safety field

Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety consulting services to internal customers and stakeholders
• Conduct site observations and audits to identify hazards and measure regulatory compliance
• Monitor federal/state/local safety rules and recommend compliant options
• Develop safety training content for new hire orientations and OSHA trainings
• Maintain professional expertise and participate in safety-related committees and programs
• Engage management to promote safety leadership and contractor safety alignment
• Travel within Colorado to support up to 14 facilities for safety coverage
