Job summary

World Electric, a leading part of the Sonepar group, is hiring a Safety Manager to oversee safety across distribution and branch operations in Florida. You will partner with leaders, drive hazard assessments, and ensure regulatory readiness.

The role involves incident management, training, audits, and continuous safety improvements. A multi-site safety background and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered.
• 8+ years of safety and/or training experience, preferably in heavy equipment, material handling, warehouse, or multi-site environment.
• Experience supporting multiple locations and partnering with operational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and improve safety policies, procedures, and the site action plan.
• Partner with leadership to sustain a strong safety culture and priorities.
• Provide safety support to leaders and associates across operations.
• Analyze data, review trends, and communicate risks and progress to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other safety standards.
