Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking an experienced epidemiology data scientist to support RWD analytics across regulatory and safety activities. You will collaborate with epidemiologists to design analyses, prepare data extracts, and generate tables, figures and reports for internal and client discussions.

The role requires strong SQL, SAS or R skills, experience with Optum ClinformaticsDatamart, Truveta, UK Biobank, and a track record of delivering timely insights on multi-source observational data.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics or economics
• 5+ years of experience conducting RWE analytics in pharma, CRO, or academia
• SQL proficiency is a must; SAS or R proficiency required
• Deep expertise analyzing RWE data sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart and Truveta; UK Biobank desirable
• Familiarity with relational databases and claims data layouts
• Experience with applied statistics including regression, survival, and propensity methods
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR)
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for research studies
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate conduct of data analyses
• Conduct analyses consistent with methods set forth in study protocols and analysis plans
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with other investigators, clients, and for study reports
• Present results internally and to clients
• Assist in the preparation of study reports and other deliverables
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future
