Job summary

Cytel in Des Moines, IA is seeking a senior data scientist for Real World Evidence analytics. You will partner with epidemiologists to design studies, analyze RWD from Claims and EHR, and translate results into actionable insights for stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in RWE analytics, strong SQL, SAS or R, and familiarity with Optum Clinformatics, Truveta and UK Biobank data sources. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, or related field with 5+ years of RWE analytics experience.
• Proficiency in SQL required; SAS or R proficiency required.
• Experience analyzing data from Optum Clinformatics, Truveta, UK Biobank.
• Familiarity with relational databases and claims data.
• Experience with regression, survival, and propensity weighting analyses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for research studies consistent with study protocols.
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate conduct of data analyses.
• Conduct analyses consistent with methods set forth in study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with other investigators, clients, and for study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of study reports and other deliverables.
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future.
