Job summary

Ditto is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to own the SDK observability pipeline across iOS, Android, desktop, and embedded platforms. You’ll design the telemetry system inside the Rust core, decide what to instrument, how to buffer locally, and how to export data for diagnostics.

You’ll optimize for constrained hardware, with small buffers and minimal overhead, build remote telemetry for fleet visibility, and engage with customers to translate field experience into engineering improvements.

Qualifications

• Systems-level Rust experience (3+ years) with production libraries or systems.
• Observability and telemetry design experience.
• Library/SDK development mindset for dependency users.
• Cross‑platform and FFI fluency with multi-language runtimes.
• Strong written communication for async, distributed teams.
• Customer empathy and direct engagement with customers to improve engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the SDK Observability Pipeline across platforms (design, build, maintain).
• Develop and enhance support bundles with device state and telemetry context.
• Improve logging system performance to minimize impact on host applications.
• Own Rust SDK features and engage with customers during production issues.
