Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer with deep trading systems experience and strong AWS knowledge to join our Capital Markets division. You will design, build, and operate low-latency trading infrastructure while collaborating with quants, traders, and engineers to push performance and reliability in a fully remote, global team.

This role suits a senior engineer who can make architectural decisions, mentor others, and embrace AI-assisted workflows while maintaining production readiness

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems; proficiency with Tokio is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading, or similar).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including cloud infra trade-offs for latency-sensitive workloads, shell scripting, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development, automation, and tooling.
• Deep familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket).
• Solid grasp of low-latency networking: TCP/UDP, latency path analysis, and kernel bypass techniques (DPDK).
• Familiarity with agentic engineering tools: LLMs, MCP APIs, AI-First IDEs, and workflow automation.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions and guide implementation across complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission-critical trading systems.
• Own key trading stack components end-to-end — architecture through production operation.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to improve trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure with focus on performance, stability, observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through leadership, reviews, and mentoring.
• Embrace agentic engineering: AI-assisted workflows and automation of operational tasks.
• Contribute to functional and production-readiness testing for critical trading components.
