Job summary

Acquire Me is seeking a Rust Systems Engineer to join a performance-critical infrastructure team at the core of our trading platform. This hands-on role emphasizes building low-latency systems with high throughput and predictable performance.

You will optimise CPU, memory and I/O, design concurrent components, and collaborate with trading teams on technically challenging problems. Previous trading experience isn’t required, but strong systems background is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Rust and C/C++.
• Strong understanding of Linux and systems programming.
• Experience with concurrency, networking and memory management.
• Comfortable reasoning about CPU performance, cache behaviour and hardware/software interaction.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Experience building performance-sensitive production systems.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance systems primarily in Rust.
• Design highly concurrent and multithreaded applications.
• Optimise CPU, memory and I/O performance.
• Work on low-latency networking and high-throughput data paths.
• Profile systems and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Improve reliability and predictable latency across critical infrastructure.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and trading teams on technically challenging problems.
