Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build production-grade control planes powering high-density infrastructure for AI training and inference workloads.

You will contribute to architecture, API design, and cross-domain reviews while working on Rust and Go codebases in a cloud-native, open-source oriented environment. Expect collaboration across networking, storage, and DPU tooling teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering in cloud-native platforms or systems programming.
• Strong in Rust with Tokio, and proficient in Go as a secondary language.
• Experience with async concurrency, distributed state, and mock-driven testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade control plane microservices and Kubernetes operators in Rust and Go.
• Create clear API specifications and system diagrams for FR/NFR requirements and gRPC/Protobuf schemas.
• Develop integration modules for modern network OSes and DPU hardware platforms.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and perform root-cause analysis across polyglot systems.
• Engage in review-driven PR workflows and maintain high test coverage with mocks.
