Job summary

Feldera is hiring a Rust backend engineer to own the core control plane and the Kubernetes layer that runs Feldera pipelines. You will design APIs and services for deploy, manage, and scale data pipelines, and lead enterprise-grade capabilities like authentication, SSO, and multi-tenancy for self-hosted deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Rust or equivalent systems language.
• Experience building backend services and distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Familiar with authentication, SSO, and multi-tenancy.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and containerized environments (Docker).
• Strong troubleshooting and remote-work communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the control-plane services across environments.
• Evolve the Kubernetes layer for reliable Feldera pipelines.
• Build and harden security, isolation, and access controls for enterprises.
• Develop cloud and self-hosted deployment capabilities across environments.
• Design clean, well-documented APIs for the control plane.
• Make the control plane observable, debuggable, and scalable.
• Troubleshoot distributed-systems issues across the stack.
