Job summary

Adelphi seeks a Senior Software Engineer to set technical direction for the platform. You will write a large share of the code and own architectural decisions around Rust—the core binary that acts as the AI/API gateway, policy engine, and Kubernetes controller.

The stack includes a Rust ingestion worker, Helm charts, Argo CD for GovCloud EKS, Terraform for infrastructure, and Python internal tools. A strong background in production Rust services and national security contexts is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in senior or lead engineering roles.
• Shipped production Rust services with strong ownership and error handling.
• Experience in national security environments or government work is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction and architectural decisions for the platform.
• Write a large share of code and own core Rust services and tooling.
• Collaborate with DevOps to manage Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, and AWS infrastructure.
• Leverage AI tooling and LLMs to design, build, ship, and debug software in secure contexts.
