Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead rural health transformation initiatives, coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and timelines to deliver outcomes for clients and communities.

You will serve as a client-facing leader, apply governance, risk management, and operations expertise, and align initiatives with Medicaid and public health goals while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Policy, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred (MPH/MPA or related).
• Seven or more years of project or program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams within complex projects.
• Primary client-facing project leadership and executive stakeholder management.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day leader for complex rural health transformation projects with multiple interdependent workstreams.
• Establish project management standards, tools, processes, and reporting structures.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, risk logs, and dashboards.
• Monitor health, milestones, budget, deliverables, dependencies, and resources; escalate issues.
• Identify risks and barriers; develop mitigation strategies with client and leadership.
• Ensure alignment across teams; facilitate collaboration and maintain goals.
• Be primary client contact for progress, risks, and strategic priorities.
• Lead governance activities: steering committees, reviews, status reports, communications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across policy, operations, data analytics, technology, and more.
• Synthesize information into executive-level presentations and communications.
• Interpret federal/state regulations to inform planning and implementation.
• Drive issue resolution and consensus-building to remove barriers.
• Oversee deliverable quality, timeliness, and contractual compliance.
• Manage project finances: budget, forecasting, invoicing, and collaboration with finance.
