Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist III to join its PRN Night shift.

You will assess, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders, initiate therapies, maintain records and operate respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities include competency with non invasive ventilators, ABG analysis, and collaboration with the health care team while upholding hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Requires AS in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• Maintains Florida RRT license and NBRC RRT credentials; active status required for some NBRC timelines.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification; ACLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and non-invasive ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, and related equipment.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Demonstrates analytical reasoning and blends patient care with technical skills.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Performs quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers and related testing.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
