Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist II to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. You will initiate therapies, document care, and operate respiratory equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires active RRT credentials, state licensure, and current BLS/ALS. You’ll work on-site with a team dedicated to quality care and adherence to hospital policies across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in respiratory care or cardiopulmonary sciences.
• RRT licensure and NBRC credentials required with active status.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ALS as applicable.
• Florida license as Respiratory Therapist in good standing.
• May include membership in AARC/FSRC as a preferred qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders.
• Initiates and conducts respiratory therapies and uses non-invasive ventilators.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documents procedures.
• Operates equipment and performs quality control on ABG analyzers.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and maintains attendance per policy.
• Ensures compliance with Orlando Health policies and site procedures.
