Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital seeks an experienced RRT IV to join the Respiratory Care team at their Bayfront site in St. Petersburg, FL.

The role covers a full-time, day shift and involves assessing, treating, and documenting patient care in various units. You will perform advanced respiratory therapies, manage non-invasive ventilation, ensure ABG analysis quality, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
• NBRC RRT credential required; active if licensed.
• Maintains Florida RRT license and NBRC active status.
• BLS/HealthCare Provider certification required.
• Advanced Life Support as appropriate per unit/site.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and use of non-invasive ventilators and diagnostics.
• Maintains accurate documentation.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Performs quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers and related testing.
• Provides care in non-critical, intermediate, and ICU units.
• Instructs clinical practicum students.
