Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences is required.
• Advanced Critical Care training as defined on Orlando Health’s ladder.
• Maintains RRT license with NBRC and Florida DOH.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Advanced Life Support as unit/site requires.
• Active membership in AARC/FSRC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders.
• Initiates and conducts respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Operates and troubleshoots respiratory equipment.
• Demonstrates quality control in ABG analyzers and specimen handling.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Adheres to Orlando Health policies and attendance requirements.
