Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program with Associates Degree.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC certification.
• Current Florida RT license (or TT license); CRT accepted but must convert to RT within 36 months.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• NRP certification within 90 days from initial hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care techniques in both critical and non-critical care areas.
• Assist and advise staff Certified Respiratory Practitioners.
• Duties include aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, CPT, incentive spirometry, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, fiberoptic bronchoscopy assistance, and CPR.
