Job summary

Mapbox in the United States is seeking an Engineer to design, develop and operate significant areas of our routing services for navigation across consumer, automotive, and logistics.

You will tackle complex routing scenarios, build best-in-class routing experiences, and deliver highly customizable solutions for large OEMs and niche customers, leveraging AWS infrastructure and modern AI practices to unlock new mapping capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building large scale/high volume low latency backend services.
• 3+ years of experience engineering Rust/Go based solutions in a commercial or open source environment.
• AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of operating systems and distributed systems (e.g., fault-tolerance, consistency, service discovery, etc.)
• Experience with modern AI development tools and practices.
