Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a Route Sales Specialist II to manage training for RSRs and RSTs, handle ordering, selling, and merchandising for a range of branded baked goods, and build relationships with customers’ managers. The role may involve non-traditional hours, weekends, or travel as needed.

You will drive incremental sales by executing market programs, maintaining route efficiency, and ensuring superior customer satisfaction while learning the routes and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Drive growth with customers through proper planning, ordering, and execution
• Operate company routes and provide coverage for time-off
• Provide in-field training to new RSRs and RSTs on tasks in Operations Manual
• Establish and maintain strong customer relations to improve satisfaction
• Order product using online order planner to ensure freshness
• Increase sales through shelf space expansion and promotions
• Adhere to route structure, service times, and SOPs
• Comply with DOT and vehicle policies
• Maintain vehicle inspections and logs
• Support new product introductions and promotions
