Flowers Foods, Inc. is hiring a Route Sales Specialist II (RSS II) to train new Route Sales Representatives and to manage the ordering, selling, delivery, and merchandising of our baked products across retail accounts, restaurants, and institutions.

The Route Sales Specialist II (RSS II) is a certified trainer, responsible for training new Route Sales Representatives (RSR) and Route Sales Trainees (RST) supporting all training processes. The RSS II is also responsible for the ordering, sales, delivery, and merchandising of a slate of nationally- and locally branded fresh baked products and developing relationships with customers' managers and other personnel. Position will be assigned to various company routes on an as needed basis to service retail customers, restaurants, and institutions with the goal of maximizing sales opportunities by meeting customer expectations and following established best practices. Position will drive incremental sales by executing the required market programs while exceeding customer expectations.
Position will require RSS II to service accounts during customer designated service windows, which may require RSS II to work non-traditional business hours, weekends, or holidays. Potential for overnight travel outside of normally assigned location.
Positions requires an incumbent with an eagerness to gain industry knowledge and to learn the skills necessary for success.
Minimum of 1 year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales
Highschool diploma or GED
Salary Range- $26.50 per hour after 4 weeks training
Sign-on Bonus: Earn an extra $1,000! Paid out as $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of continuous employment.
