Job summary

Beehive Industries, LLC seeks a Principal Engineer to lead rotordynamics design and development of jet engines and rigs using new technologies. You will partner with hardware owners and cross-functional leadership daily to develop rotor and structure designs.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in gas turbine rotordynamics, experience with Dyrobes or XLRotor, and proficiency in CAD/ANSYS Workbench for structural and vibration analysis. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
12+ years of experience in gas turbine rotordynamics.
Significant experience with Rotordynamics software (Dyrobes preferred, XLRotor, XLTRC, OEM in-house codes, etc.)
Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, etc)
Experience with ANSYS Workbench focusing on structural and vibration analysis
Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills

Responsibilities

Lead rotordynamics analysis (critical speeds, forced response, maneuvers, stability, loads, etc.) for new jet engines and rigs.
Conduct operational testing and develop test plans including instrumentation, data acquisition, signal processing.
Knowledgeable in finite element analysis and apply using ANSYS Workbench for static, modal, and forced response analyses.
Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles.
Lead design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines (design, controls, additive manufacturing, bearings, materials).
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
Research and develop additive design methodologies to improve product design.
Role may start as individual contributor with potential future team leadership.
