Job summary
Beehive Industries seeks a Principal Engineer to lead rotordynamics design, analysis, and development of jet engine and rig concepts, applying additive manufacturing to advance performance.
The role partners with hardware owners and cross-functional teams, delivering rotor and structural solutions while scaling design capability in a dynamic startup environment. Colorado or Ohio locations available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- 12+ years of experience in gas turbine rotordynamics.
- Experience with rotordynamics software (Dyrobes, XLRotor, XLTRC, OEM codes).
- Strong understanding of CAD and ANSYS tools.
- Experience with ANSYS Workbench focusing on structural and vibration analysis.
- Passion for additive technology and willingness to push additive design.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and leadership in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead rotordynamics analysis for new jet engines and rigs.
- Develop test plans including instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Present recommendations based on test results.
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of projects using engineering principles.
- Lead design reviews and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
- Contribute to additive design methodologies and documentation.
