Job summary

Air Products and Chemical seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability improvements of rotating equipment across U.S. plants, with emphasis on La Porte and Baytown, TX.

Travel to sites is required, with most travel daily to nearby plants and occasional overnight stays. The role offers exposure to compressors, turbines, expanders, pumps, gearboxes and cryogenic components within a broad industrial network, and opportunities for career growth in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years experience supporting rotating equipment in an industrial setting.
• Experience with compressors, pumps, turbines, expanders, gearboxes, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and failures, review trends, and assist in inspection scopes and repair plans.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for machinery reliability events.
• Provide technical support during overhauls, turnarounds, outages, inspections, and repairs on rotating machinery.
• Support reliability, efficiency improvements, including condition monitoring and preventive/predictive maintenance.
