Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Americas Operations Machinery team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability of rotating equipment across U.S. plants, with a primary emphasis on La Porte and Baytown, TX.

Travel to nearby plants and shops is required, with a hybrid work arrangement and daily driving expected. You will work with compressors, turbines, pumps, expanders, gearboxes, and related systems, delivering RCA and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with rotating equipment in industrial settings preferred.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis and condition monitoring beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving and field troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and failures, reviewing operating trends and inspection results.
• Participate in RCA, failure analysis, and corrective action planning for reliability events.
• Provide technical support during overhauls, turnarounds, outages, inspections, and repair activities.
• Support reliability and efficiency improvement initiatives, including predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and vendor teams to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
• Assist with re-rating, optimization, and reliability upgrades of existing machinery.
