Job summary

360 Fire & Flood is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a commercial roofing background to own the estimating process from site inspection through final pricing and proposals. You will work closely with Sales, Production, and Insurance partners to develop competitive, fully scoped estimates in Xactimate and lump-sum formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; equivalent industry experience accepted.
• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience (low-slope and steep-slope).
• Proven Xactimate proficiency with roof sketches, line-item estimates, and supplements.
• Experience with quantity take-offs from plans, drawings, and field measurements.
• Experience estimating insurance restoration claims and coordinating with adjusters, consultants, and engineers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids to deadlines and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing and exterior restoration projects.
• Perform complete quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and field measurements.
• Prepare Xactimate estimates for insurance losses and create comprehensive scope documents.
• Develop lump-sum and unit-price proposals for direct-pay and capital projects.
• Conduct site inspections, verify roof assemblies, and assess conditions before pricing.
• Review drawings and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes; manage pricing and risk.
• Mentor junior estimators and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Deliver accurate estimate-to-production handoffs and support cost reviews to improve unit pricing.
