Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of relevant experience.
• RHIT or RHIA preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Pulls data from the EMR and releases information by approved methods (email, mail, fax, patient pickup, patient portal).
• Reviews requests for health information for HIPAA compliance and accuracy.
• Monitors productivity, quality, confidentiality, and customer service while performing ROI work.
• Interacts with insurers, agencies, third‑party record retrieval companies, attorneys, patients, and other facilities; supports audits.
• Assists with onboarding, training, and cross‑training; provides guidance to ROI team; escalates issues to ROI Supervisor.
• Maintains knowledge of ROI standards, HIPAA requirements, and policies; conducts quality reviews and process improvements.
